This is a guideline from a European Union initiative through its program EU Aid Volunteers. The document is aimed to assist local NGOs in Latin American and The Caribbean to achieve their humanitarian actions by training volunteers and NGOs who want to work/help within this part of the globe. So, involved local NGOs will receive technical support and logistics, besides training, in order to come to face to natural disasters and humanitarian crises. In other side, the EU initiative will work to guarantee safety and security of engaged volunteers/NGOs within work spaces before their departure as stipulated in the guideline. The document represents a unique guideline in terms of a holistic approach of the Security and the settlement of the humanitarian personal in places with humanitarian action’s needs.
