FSNWG issued this drought special report, examining the current food security situation across the eastern Horn of Africa (e.g. Ethiopia, Kenya, and Somalia) after three consecutive seasons of below-average rains. This report also projected likely food security outcomes through September 2022 under two different rainfall scenarios for the March to May 2022 season: (1) a scenario of average to above-average rains, and (2) a scenario of below-average rains.
