Qatar Charity provides drinking water to Pakistan’s rural communitiesQatar Charity (QC) has installed 9 solar pumps in different villages of Peshawar, a district in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, to provide clean and safe drinking water for 226 households with 1648individuals. Qatar Charity also held personal and environmental hygiene sessions for the beneficiary community to raise awareness about cleanliness and waterborne disease prevention. Due to Qatar Charity’s water interventions, a significant improvement has been observed in the beneficiary community`s health and hygiene condition, and waterborne diseases, which were very common among them, were reduced. It is worth mentioning that last year, Qatar Charity installed 81 solar water pumps in the three districts of Sindh province, with 40 solar water pumps in Badin District, 20 in Tando Muhammad Khan District and 21 in Sanghar District.
