Qatar Charity distributes school bags to orphans in Kyrgyzstan

Qatar Charity (QC) implemented the school bag distribution project for 2021-2022, in cooperation with UNICEF and coordination with the Ministry of Education and Science in Kyrgyzstan, benefiting 7,000 orphaned and poor students in 25 schools in Chuy Province.The school bag distribution ceremony was attended by the Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Nurlan Omurov, UNICEF Christine Jolm, the mayor of Sokuluk region Kurbanbek Aitibayev, and the acting director of Qatar Charity's Kyrgyzstan office Mohamad Homam AlSamman.The Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Nurlan Omurov, congratulated teachers, parents, and students on the start of the school year, wishing them success in their studies. He thanked the government and the people of Qatar for the assistance they have been providing to the Republic of Kyrgyzstan in various fields, praising Qatar Charity's efforts to support the Kyrgyz people by implementing various projects, especially in the areas of health and education.Mr. Mohamad Homam AlSamman, Acting Director of Qatar Charity's Kyrgyzstan office, said this project stems from Qatar Charity's belief that education is the mainstay of development in all countries. He added that Qatar Charity, through this project, seeks to provide students with educational attainment tools and help the parents meet their children's school needs. The parents of the beneficiary students expressed their happiness with this support from the people of Qatar, which relieved them of the burdens, thanking them for extending support to this project. It is worth mentioning that Qatar Charity sponsors 8065 persons, including orphans and low-income families, and provides them with comprehensive social care services such as educational, health care, cultural, development, and sports services. It is currently implementing 503 different projects to build health centers, hospitals, schools, kindergartens, information technology schools, and other educational institutions in various country regions. The construction of 4 schools is expected to be completed before the end of 2021.
