Qatar Charity’s WASH interventions make a difference in Pakistan’s vulnerable communitiesQatar Charity (QC) has implemented 92 water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) projects in Sanghar, Badin and Tando Muhammad Khan districts in Pakistan’s province Sindh so far this year.These WASH projects included the installation of water pumps, construction of sanitation facilities, and raising awareness on personal and environmental hygiene. These projects were designed to improve the health and hygienic level in the most vulnerable communities, and provide them with clean drinking water facilities.Qatar Charity implemented 47 WASH projects in Badin District, 20 in Tando Muhammad Khan District, and 25 in district Sanghar, focusing on vulnerable communities. The WASH interventions were carried out in villages, schools, and mosques. It is worth mentioning that last year, Qatar Charity installed 81 solar water pumps in these three districts of Sindh, with 40 solar water pumps in Badin District, 20 in Tando Muhammad Khan District and 21 in Sanghar District.
