Emanuel Souvairan from Shelter Centre presented the altest proposal of our Organization: the desgn, implementation and maintenance of a common humanitarian library.

As humanitarian stakeholders currently do not share a humanitarian technical memory, the subsequent lack of a common knowledge base constraints:

  • Learning from past experience,
  • Risk reduction,
  • Preparedness,
  • Response and recovery,
  • Humanitarian innovation.

This project is the first global open-source common humanitarian technical library, and the Shelter Centre conceived it supported by a global network of regional knowledge HUBs.
