Countering the trafficking of humans during COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic has effectively hindered most of the criminal activities in society. However in this fast changing socio-economic climate, recent evidence suggests that smugglers and traffickers have found ways to adapt to this situation and make profit out of vulnerable groups. This Collection contains relevant recommendations and operational guidelines with regard to Counter Trafficking of Humans during the pandemic of COVID-19.

Current guidance comes from leading global organizations, government bodies and non-profit organizations: Department of State: United States of America, Response for Venezuelens (R4V), La Strada International (LSI), International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), Hope for Justice, United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), International Labour Organization (ILO), Global Protection Cluster (GPC), Polaris Project.
